I LOVE birthdays. Not just my birthday, but anybody’s birthday! There’s something special about celebrating with your closest friends and family for a day and sharing a moment filled with laughter, joy, and excitement. In my book, birthdays don’t have to be extravagant to be filled with glee. Of course, throwing a big birthday bash would be fun, but having brunch with your closest friends and family is just as good. This week is my birthday week, and I kicked it off by having brunch at one of my favorite restaurants, Catch LA, with the people I love.
Brunch is suppose to be between breakfast and lunch, but LA brunch has somehow made it’s way to be between lunch and dinner. This is a perfect time to wear something semi casual. It’s a time of day where it’s late enough to wear something a little more ‘spunky’, but since it’s still bright outside, you don’t have to go full out. For my birthday brunch, I wore this beautiful white blouse by Pretty Little Thing (yes, this is a total copy of the beloved Self-Portrait top, but it is a fraction of its price). I tucked the top in a denim skirt that complimented well because of the small ruffle detailing the skirt has. I threw on my summer sandals and my well loved Chloe Nile bag, and was then prepared for my brunch.
